Singing & Beatboxing
Kate has been singing with the BAC Beatbox Academy for years, training in improvisational music and harmony, creating all sounds from the mouth. This requires a great deal of vocal dexterity, listening and stamina.
With the Academy, Kate has worked alongside Conrad Murray and academy members to create original and cover performances for The Roundhouse and Citadel Festival, Latitude Festival, The Southbank Centre and the BBC.
She has performed in BAC Beatbox Academy's hit 5* show, Frankenstein: How to Make a Monster that toured internationally and received the accolade of the highest reviewed show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019. Since, she collaborated to help write and create the award winning Pied Piper: A hip-hop family musical, originating the role of Robyn in venues across the country including Battersea Arts Centre, The Southbank Centre and The Belgrade Theatre.
On Beats & Elements and Polka Theatre's production of a hip-hop adaptation of Romeo & Juliet, Kate was a contributor, performing in the titular role of Juliet, a production that was nominated for 4 Off West-End awards, including one for TYA Performance for Kate. The show won in the Music and Sound category.
